Friendship is where their story began. If you ask me, that’s where the best stories begin. Val & Robert met at the Rec Center they both worked at in college. For a whole year they remained “just friends” until they realized there was more to explore. Their relationship blossomed and they found themselves at the end of the college “rope.” Knowing they wanted to be together, they moved from college to Downtown Denver together. It’s there that they established the beginning of the rest of their lives together. They explored the beautiful mountains of Colorado, adopted a puppy, then another puppy and finally, got engaged!

Robert is the chef in the relationship, and one evening he made his famous street tacos and margaritas for a date night in. After the meal, he asked Val to marry him in their downtown Denver apartment. She said yes! And that’s why this Downtown Denver Engagement Session was so very special.

Val is from Estonia and Robert was born in raised in Denver. They planned to wed this year in a ceremony at Evergreen Lake House, but unfortunately, like so many couples these last couple of years, their nuptials were postposed until their entire families could gather together safely. It broke my heart hearing the news, but I know that their lakeside wedding in the mountains will be that much more incredible when their whole guest list can celebrate with them.

Until then, Val & Robert, I had such a blast with you for this Downtown Denver Engagement Session and then out in nature with your sweet pups. I cannot wait until your day and am so glad to be a part of it.
