A well-dressed, beautiful couple. Majestic, white columns. That golden hour glow. This winter Cheesman Park Engagement Session couldn’t have been more perfect. Not to mention this couple was a sheer joy to photograph. Molly & Brent are not only joyful and hysterical, but they were such naturals at being photographed. So much of being photographed is just owning the sometimes silly-feeling poses and prompt we photographers give, and they did just that with smiles on their faces. Plus I couldn’t have been happier with their choice of Cheesman Park for their engagement session. I’d been dying to shoot here for ages! It’s old-world, romantic feel is right up my alley. I also adored their outfit choices. These two know how to dress and definitely followed every piece of advice in my “5 Steps to look Incredible in Every Photo” blog post. For their formal look, Molly wore a an emerald green, flowy dress with a lovely slit that photographed so well. Brent wore a navy blue suit with the perfect colored shoes and belt. For their casual look, Molly wore a white lace dress with knee-high boots and Brent wore black jeans, a light blue button up and a beige sweater. The lighter colors in this second look photographed so well!
When Molly reached out and I saw her area code, I instantly felt at home. She has a 401 number which means Rhode Island! Turns out, that’s where she grew up and it’s also where I went to University! We kept on chatting and finding more and more things in common — our love for Rhode Island, Vermont, the mountains here in Colorado. Plus we both lived in the same neighborhood in Boston for a time. I just love meeting fellow New Englanders out here in Colorado. They both felt like old friends instantly.
Molly & Brent thank you so much for letting me be a part of your engagement season. I can’t tell you how much of a breath of fresh air you were on this session! I love how these photos turned out and I hope you do, too.
