This Summer Steamboat Springs Wedding was absolutely one for the history books! From the planning by Purple Summer Events to the florals by Lace & Lilies to Amelia’s dress from A and Be Denver to the stunning views at Lucky8 Ranch. It was an impeccable day! I met Amelia and Rob at Sapphire Point Overlook for their engagement session in the winter of 2020 and I fell in love with them. They are such a perfect match and their Summer Steamboat Springs Wedding could not have been more beautiful.
The Steamboat Springs Wedding day started out at a hotel in Steamboat Springs with a storm we all thought would put a damper on Amelia & Rob’s day. The wedding was taking place at Steamboat Springs Wedding Venue Lucky8 Ranch, a Bison Ranch that would surely turn to mud if that rain continued to come down. But on the way to the ranch from the hotel, the skies cleared just in time for their first look. You won’t want to miss the photos from that moment – the white aspen trees surrounded them for that intimate and tear-filled moment.
From there, the day just got better and better. Their ceremony took place overlooking the serene rolling hills, nestled in a stunning creek valley amongst the vast Northern Rocky Mountains.* During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed signature cocktails and corn hole on the lush 17,000 square foot lawn over looking the valley. Florals by Lace & Lilies decked out the reception tent, and perfectly softened the rustic tables with hues of cream, coral, orange, and blush. A baby’s breath arrangement highlighted the bride & groom’s seats at the head table. Local Flavor catering was serving up the most incredible plated dinners with style and care.
But the best moments of the night were on the dance floor. First, Amelia & Rob’s first dance – perfectly romantic and fun highlighting this couple’s personality – Amelia, the epitome of beauty & grace, and Rob, the most fun and playful groom. Their wedding party’s size could tell you just how loved these two are. The group of 25 entered the reception with an energetic choreographed dance. And lastly, the sweetest, tender moments of the Bride with her Dad & the Groom with his Mom.
The perfect cherry on top of this day came with the sunset. Even though the day started with rain, God came through with the most incredible sunset for us to have husband & wife portrait time. Some of my favorite images of 2021 came out of this moment. You won’t want to miss those at the end of this post.
Amelia & Rob, it was a true honor to capture your wedding day. From the love you share with each other, and your friends & family, to your impeccably styled details. It was incredible. I wish you both a lifetime of joy that you can pull straight from your wedding day.
