Fourteen. Fourteen is how old Karissa & Hunter were when they started dating. Seven years later, on June 5th, 2021, they wed at their Summer Estes Park Wedding. The sense of familiarity that comes with growing up with someone was so palpable at this wedding. From their undeniable and time-tested love for one another, to the obvious closeness of their families that only time could bring. It was everything a celebration should be. Despite it being a decently large gathering, it felt so intimate, so fun and just beautiful in every way.

When Karissa reached out to me at beginning of 2021, I knew I wanted to capture her wedding. She and Hunter are from Texas but have a strong draw to the mountains. If you know me, you know I also lived in Texas for many years and moved to the mountains recently. So we already had a lot in common. Plus, she was exactly my kind of bride. Beautiful, but doesn’t know it. An eye for the details, but doesn’t get caught up in them. And joyfully in love with her soon-to-be husband. She’s the kind of bride I always pray comes my way.

Don’t get me started on Hunter. Scroll down and you’ll see just how amazing he is. He’s got the best smile, fantastic taste in cowboy boots, and an immense and unapologetic love for his bride. When he turned to see her walking down the aisle toward him, he nearly fell to the floor in disbelief. I mean, you can see why — she’s gorgeous! But not every man is as aware of just how lucky he is. Hunter knows.

For all of these reasons and more, this Summer Estes Park Wedding will always hold a special place in my heart. I loved every minute of it! Karissa & Hunter, it was a true honor capturing your day. I pray you both love and serve one another for a lifetime with the same joy you felt on this day. I can’t wait to see you again on your next trip to the mountains!
