I adore being a Denver family photographer because I get to witness and capture a family’s story unfolding. This session was so special for so many reasons. First, this was the second time I’ve had the privilege of photographing the O’Dwyer family. I captured their maternity session on film a whole year ago! I can hardly believe that their sweet little Gigi is ONE already! Second, the family is expecting their second baby! What a gift. It is so incredible to be chosen to tell the story, through art, of many of the most memorable moments in my client’s family lives. This Wash Park Family Session was such a joy.

We met in morning at Denver’s Wash Park to celebrate Gigi’s first birthday and new baby’s announcement! I laid down a white blanket for the three to get cozy on and we got to shooting. I was in love with the way Gigi literally said “Goo goo, ga ga” like you hear in the movies. I mean, how precious is that?! After we took some incredible family photos, we sat Gigi down in her tutu, bow and Nike’s (😂) and let her have at her birthday cake. And did she ever! She was not shy and it was so fun to photograph.

As a Denver family photographer, I love getting to help families tell their story with timeless and stunning family photos. It was an honor photographing this Wash Park Family Session as I was able to capture memories that they can keep forever.
